Gritty Rose is an artwork on recycled lumber from a friend's project. After painting it, I lightly charred it with flame to add smokey accents. 
This artwork tells the story of grit, grace and  beauty. This rose has been through some things and though she bears some wear and tear, she still remains a beautiful flower.
