Pacific Northwest forests are teeming with mushrooms of all shapes and sizes as well as colors. In this beginner friendly workshop, we will take our inspiration from the fungi of the woods to create a loose and expressive artwork featuring an aminita muscaria mushroom, the Alice in Wonderland red and white mushroom that really does exist.

  I will be filming from my forest cottage where I am surrounded by gorgeous trees. Weather permitting, I will be LIVEstreaming from outside.

We will use watercolor paint, white ink and black pigment to create our mushroom scene.

SUGGESTED SUPPLIES

9X12 Coldpress Watercolor Paper

Round # 4 Brush or other soft bristled brush

Water Cup

Paper Towel

Spray Bottle

White Acrylic paint or paint pen

Black Stabilo pencil or black watercolor pencil

White Gel Ink Pen

HAIR Dryer or Heat Tool to speed up the drying process

Watercolors : Aliziran Crimson, Burnt Umber, Quinacridone Nickel Gold, Cascade Green

Use what you have and make the best of it. These are suggested supplies only. Watercolor paper and a quality brush will make the biggest difference, but feel free to use your favorite watercolors or whatever palette you already have. The goal is simply to paint!

Please make sure you have a reliable internet connection. Prepare your workspace ahead of time and minimize distractions so you can relax and enjoy the experience. We'll paint together for approximately 90 minutes, with plenty of time for questions, conversation, and individual guidance.

A recording of the tutorial will be available after the workshop, and a replay link will be emailed to you.

Each registration admits one participant. If you'd like to paint with a friend, please have them register separately.

Enrollment is limited to 15 participants to ensure everyone receives plenty of individual attention and personalized feedback.

REFUND POLICY

This is a non-refundable creative event. Due to the nature of what I offer, I am unable to provide a refund or credit to future events. You may transfer your spot to another person if you are unable to attend. Just let me know so I can add their name to the roster.  In the unlikely event that circumstances beyond my control warrant canceling the event, students will receive a full refund.
