This workshops will be approximately 2 hours long.

Painting a butterfly is a favorite to create. In this LIVEstream workshop, participants will be guided step by step in how to draw a simple form of a butterfly and then bring it to life with expressive watercolor techniques in a loose and free style. This art form is beginner friendly as well as forgiving for those with little to no drawing or painting experience and also helpful for the seasoned art maker who craves new inspiration.

SUGGESTED SUPPLIES

• 9x12 watercolor paper or a something close in size

• Round brush # 4 or similar

• Spray Bottle

• Paper Towel

• Fine Point black ink pen (or pencil is ok, too. We will use this for drawing)

• Stabilo Pencil (or dark watercolor pencil)

• Water cup

Watercolor paints : cadmium orange, opera pink, gamboge yellow, quinacridone gold, olive green

White fluid acrylic paint OR a white paint pen OR white drafting pigment such as Bleed Proof from Dr Phil's

Use what you have on hand and make the best of it. These are suggested supplies only. Watercolor paper and a good brush will make the biggest difference. Feel free to use your fave watercolors or whatever palette you may have on hand. The goal is to paint !

Be sure you have a reliable internet connection. Prepare your workspace beforehand and minimize distractions. We will paint together for approximatelyy two hours with plenty of time for questions and interaction.

A recording of the tutorial will be available afterward and a replay link emailed to you.

Each registration admits one participant. If you'd like to paint with a friend, please have them register separately (youth under 18 are welcome to join for free).

Price includes applicable sales tax if any.

REFUND POLICY - No Refunds or Future Credit

This is a non-refundable workshop. Due to the nature of what I offer, I am unable to provide a refund or credit to a future workshop. You may transfer your spot to another person if you are unable to attend. Just let me know so I can add their name to the roster.  In the unlikely event that circumstances beyond my control warrant canceling the event, students will receive a full refund.
