Step away from the noise of everyday life and join me for a beautiful day of creativity in the forest.

Creative Magic in the Woods is a nourishing outdoor art experience designed to help you reconnect with your imagination, your inner calm, and the healing power of creativity in nature. We’ll gather in a gorgeous forest setting near the Lewis River for a day of art-making, reflection, inspiration, and creative camaraderie.

This experience is about more than making a painting.

It is about slowing down.

Breathing deeper.

Noticing beauty again.

Letting creativity become a form of renewal.

Throughout the day, we’ll begin with gentle creative warm-ups including journaling, simple sketching exercises, observation, and inspiration from the natural world around us. No pressure. No perfectionism. Just permission to explore and play.

The heart of the day will be creating an expressive 11x14 watercolor forest painting filled with color, atmosphere, movement, and feeling. I’ll guide you step-by-step through the process while also encouraging your own creative voice and intuition to emerge.

This experience is beginner-friendly and welcoming to all skill levels, while still offering inspiration and fresh approaches for seasoned art makers.

You do not need to know how to paint. You only need a willingness to show up.

You’ll leave with:

• An original expressive watercolor painting

• Creative inspiration and renewed energy

• Time in nature to reset your nervous system

• Meaningful connection and creative camaraderie

• Gentle encouragement to reconnect with your authentic creative self

What to Bring

• Your own lunch (beverages provided include sparkling water, bottled water and iced tea)

• A journal

• Comfortable clothing and shoes for the outdoors

I provide all art supplies.

Space is intentionally limited to create an intimate and supportive experience.

If your spirit has been tired, overwhelmed, creatively blocked, or simply hungry for beauty, this day is for you.

Where We Will Gather

Lewisville Regional Park is a 159 acre park in along the Lewis River in north Clark County just outside of Battle Ground, Washington. It is a half hour drive from Vancouver and about an hour from Portland. We will meet under a covered shelter. More details are provided once you register and secure your spot. The shelter that will be our art studio for the day is wheelchair accessible and suitable for all mobility levels.

REFUND POLICY

This is a non-refundable creative event. Due to the nature of what I offer, I am unable to provide a refund or credit to future events. You may transfer your spot to another person if you are unable to attend. Just let me know so I can add their name to the roster.  In the unlikely event that circumstances beyond my control warrant canceling the event, students will receive a full refund.
