Art and writing in a private journal are two powerful ways to clear the mind and ease the heart. In this workshop participants will be guided in a variety of mixed-media techniques in how to create artful pages in a journal as visual companions to the words we write. We will be using stencils, rubber stamps, watercolor paint, gesso and collage and art crayons.

BRING YOUR OWN ART JOURNAL that is 8x11.5 or similar. Suggestions with links below. Your journal needs to have sturdy paper such as a mixed-media journal or a watercolor art journal.

ALL other supplies are provided including pens though you are welcome to bring your fave pen if you like.

We will create at least two artful pages in our journals and engage with one writing prompt. This workshop is ideal for those who want to begin or fortify a journaling practice that is more than just writing. It is also a useful practice for those who would like simple and time- easy methods for making quick artworks for private expression.

No art making experience needed at all. You will be guided step by step in a variety of mixed-media techniques.

This is a non-refundable workshop. Due to the nature of what I offer, I am unable to provide a refund or credit to a future workshop. You may transfer your spot to another person if you are unable to attend. Just let me know so I can add their name to the roster.  In the unlikely event that circumstances beyond my control warrant canceling the event, students will receive a full refund.
