Forest Garden Watercolor Class

  • 2 Steps

About

In this nearly 90 minute art on demand class, I guide you step by step in creating a vivid watercolor forest garden scene that is inspired by the surrounding beauty of my home in the Pacific Northwest. We will learn how nature inspires creative expression that is unique and vibrant. I filmed this workshop from my forest cottage where I am surrounded by gorgeous trees with a lush understory of ferns and fauna, a wonderful setting for painting outside. SUGGESTED SUPPLIES (these are the supplies I used) 9x12 watercolor paper (Coldpress #140 weight ) Painter's Tape (to tape off the border of our paper. This is not super important so do not worry if you don't have this.) Round brush # 4 or similar. I am using the Velvet Touch by Princeton in this video Spray Bottle Paper Towel Stabilo Pencil (the black aquarellable) Water cup WATERCOLOR PAINTS: Raw umber by Van Gogh Hooker's Green by Holbein Sap Green by Holbein Quinacridone Gold by Holbein Gamboge by Holbein Cerulean Blue by (shocker!) HOLBEIN :) Use what you have on hand and make the best of it. These are suggested supplies only. Watercolor paper and a good brush will make the biggest difference. Feel free to use your fave watercolors or whatever palette you may have on hand. The goal is to paint ! This video was designed with the intention that you paint along in real time. Set aside about 90 minutes and have your paints ready. I guide you step by step in this video workshop. Make a watercolor forest garden in less than an hour and a half!
